Judy Larson - Great Saskatchewan Bacon Festival

Farmscape for June 5, 2019

Bacon will be the focus later this month of the Great Saskatchewan Bacon Festival in Kipling.
The annual Great Saskatchewan Bacon Festival, set for June 16th in Kipling, will feature the highlight bacon recipe competition, entertainment by recording artist Eli Barsi and, for the kids, glitter tattoos, Kerrs Bouncers and Inflatable's and baby pigs.
Great Saskatchewan Bacon Festival Committee Member Judy Larson says tickets for the bacon recipe sampling are limited to approximately 350 and are available through a variety of sources.

If you can just find us on Facebook, just go to Facebook and check out the Great Saskatchewan Bacon Festival.
You can send us a message through there and we will set you up with how to get tickets.
Or you could email us at SK.bacon.festival@gmail.com and we'd be glad to direct you how to get tickets that way as well.
In town, tickets are available at our Credit Union, the Pharmasave, the Cottage Cafe and at our public library and we do have e-transfer available as well.
It is a family friendly event.
The day has always been really enjoyed and we'd love to see people come out.
We do encourage people to get tickets ahead of time.
We haven't sold out yet but we have in the past and we don't want people to be disappointed.

Larson says a minimum of 20 chefs and home cooks will compete in four categories, Professional Chef Savory, Professional Chef Sweet, Home Cook Savory and Home Cook Sweet for trophies and cash prizes.
Money raised through the event will go to support local youth related infrastructure.
